AI copilot
An AI assistant embedded in a person's workflow that suggests, drafts, and answers while the human remains in control of the final action.
In more detail
A copilot works alongside a person rather than instead of them. It lives inside the tool the person is already using, offering suggestions, drafting content, answering questions, and speeding up the work, while the human decides what to accept. The human stays firmly in the driver's seat; the copilot advises.
The distinction from an agent is one of autonomy and initiative. A copilot responds to a person's ongoing work and waits for them to act on its suggestions. An agent takes a goal and runs the steps toward it more independently. Many real systems blend the two, assisting in some places and acting in others.
Where this shows up at Ceven
Ceven leans toward the agent end of this spectrum, running workflows toward an outcome rather than only suggesting as you type. Where a person should stay in control, human-approval gates give the same essential benefit as a copilot: the automation proposes the consequential action and the person approves it before it takes effect.
