Frequently asked questions

Ceven uses OAuth 2.0 to connect to your Yandex account. When you start the integration, you are redirected to the Yandex authorization page where you grant specific permissions to the platform. Once approved, Yandex sends a secure token back to Ceven. We store this token in an encrypted vault and use it to make requests on your behalf. You can revoke this access at any time through your Yandex account security settings, which instantly kills the connection and prevents any further API calls from our agents.
Yes. Yandex imposes strict rate limits on its Geocoder and Routing APIs based on your account tier. Free accounts have a low daily request ceiling that is easy to hit during large batch operations. If your workflow exceeds these limits, the Yandex API returns a 429 error. Ceven handles this by implementing an exponential backoff strategy, meaning the agent will wait and retry the request automatically. For high volume users, we recommend upgrading your Yandex API plan to ensure your workflows do not stall.
Yandex has the most comprehensive data for Russia and neighboring CIS countries. While it does provide some global data, the depth of the Organization Search tool varies significantly by region. For businesses in Western Europe or North America, you may find that the search returns fewer results or less detailed information compared to searches within the primary Yandex service area. We recommend using the Organization Search tool primarily for entities operating within the Eurasian economic zone for the best accuracy.
The Yandex Reverse Geocoder is highly accurate for urban areas where street data is well maintained. It converts latitude and longitude into a full address including house and apartment numbers. In rural areas, it provides the nearest known address or a descriptive location. Ceven can be configured to only accept results with a high confidence score, ensuring that your workflow does not trigger based on an approximate location when a precise address is required for a delivery.
Ceven does not permanently store map tile images. We act as a pass through layer that fetches the tiles from the Yandex Tiles API and delivers them to your interface or downstream application. This ensures that you are always seeing the most current map data and that we are not violating Yandex terms of service regarding data scraping. Each request for a tile is made in real time using your authenticated session.
Yes. You can build a workflow that periodically calls the Generate Detailed Route action. By comparing the estimated travel time of a current route against a previous snapshot, the agent can detect significant delays. When a delay exceeds a threshold you set, the agent can automatically trigger a new route request to find a faster path and then email the updated instructions to your driver or customer immediately.
If the Yandex Organization Search returns no results for a specific TIN, the agent can be programmed to try an alternative search method. For example, it can attempt a search by business name and city. If both methods fail, the workflow can move the record to a manual review queue or send a request to the customer to verify their tax details. This prevents the entire automation from crashing due to a single missing data point.
Ceven processes data transmitted between your Yandex account and your chosen downstream tools. We do not sell your data or use it to train our models. Because Yandex is subject to Russian data laws, we encourage users to review the Yandex privacy policy regarding where their data is physically stored. Ceven ensures that the transport of this data is encrypted using industry standard TLS and that access is restricted to the specific tokens you authorized.
