Business process automation (BPA)
The automation of complete business processes end to end across systems and departments, rather than isolated individual tasks.
In more detail
Business process automation targets whole processes rather than single tasks. Where task automation might handle one step, BPA covers the end-to-end flow: onboarding a customer, closing the books, provisioning a new hire, or handling a purchase request from requisition to payment. The scope is a business outcome, often crossing several systems and teams.
Because the scope spans departments, BPA lives or dies on integration and exception handling. The steps sit in different tools owned by different teams, and the process has to move data cleanly between them and cope when a step fails or needs a decision. That cross-system coordination is where the effort concentrates.
Where this shows up at Ceven
Ceven is built for end-to-end processes rather than one-off tasks. Because it connects across 1,000+ tools, a single workflow can span the systems a process actually touches, with AI steps for judgment, human-approval gates at the decision points, and one audit trail across the whole flow.
