Frequently asked questions

Ceven operates using the permissions assigned to the API key provided during the connection process. If the API key has administrator access to a workspace, the agent can create and delete sites, manage memberships, and modify page settings. If the key is restricted to read only access, the agent will be able to pull analytics and list pages but will fail when attempting to write or delete data. We recommend using a dedicated service account for the integration to ensure the agent has exactly the permissions it needs without granting full account owner rights to every workflow.
Yes. By combining the Get Comprehensive Site Analytics action with the List Page Themes action, you can build a workflow that monitors performance. For example, if a page reaches a certain number of views, the agent can identify a higher converting theme from your list and apply it to the page. This allows you to run a primitive form of A B testing where the agent switches the visual style of your Fingertip site based on real time engagement data coming through the API.
Ceven can manage as many sites as your Fingertip plan allows. However, you should be aware that Fingertip enforces a strict rate limit on their API endpoints to prevent abuse. If you attempt to run a massive batch update across hundreds of sites in a few seconds, you may encounter 429 Too Many Requests errors. Ceven handles this by implementing an exponential backoff strategy, meaning the agent will automatically pause and retry the request after a short delay to ensure the workflow completes without crashing.
The agent uses the List Site Memberships action to pull a current roster of users. It then compares this list against your CRM records. If a new member is found in Fingertip, the agent creates a corresponding contact in your CRM. If a membership is deleted in Fingertip, the agent can trigger a status update in your CRM to mark that client as inactive. This ensures your sales pipeline always reflects who actually has access to your private site content or member areas.
While there is no single migration button, you can build a workflow to achieve this. The agent can use List Pages and List Fingertip Blog Posts to read the content from a source site. It then uses the Create Fingertip Site action to set up a new destination and sequentially recreates the pages and posts. This is particularly useful when rebranding a business or moving a specific product line from a general site to a dedicated niche site without manual copy and pasting.
Yes. The agent can use the List Form Templates action to see which layouts are available for your site. While the API focuses on the retrieval of these templates, you can use the agent to audit which templates are being used across different pages. If you find that a specific form template is underperforming based on your analytics, you can instruct the agent to identify every page using that template and flag them for a manual redesign or an automated update.
Ceven relies on the API to verify the existence of resources. If a site is deleted via the Fingertip dashboard, the next time a workflow attempts to call a site specific action, the API will return a 404 Not Found error. Ceven interprets this as a deletion event and can then trigger a cleanup workflow. This might include removing the site ID from your internal database or notifying the account manager that the asset is no longer active.
Absolutely. You can create a workflow where a new employee hire in your HR system triggers a Delete Workspace Invitation for any old pending requests and then issues a fresh invitation to the correct Fingertip workspace. Once the user accepts, the agent can use the List Site Memberships action to verify they have joined and then automatically assign them to the specific sites they need to manage based on their job role and department.
