Frequently asked questions

Ceven uses the Verify Email Address tool to check the deliverability of any discovered address before it ever hits your CRM. When the agent finds a potential email, it triggers a verification call to GetProspect. If the result comes back as deliverable, the agent proceeds with the workflow, such as adding the lead to a sequence. If the email is flagged as risky or invalid, the agent marks the record as unverified and stops the workflow to protect your email deliverability. This prevents your domain from being blacklisted due to high bounce rates during large scale outbound campaigns.
Yes. Ceven can monitor for changes in a contact's status or properties and then use the Add Contacts to List and Update Contact tools to move them. For example, you can set up a workflow where any contact in a Cold list who is later verified and enriched is automatically moved to a Ready for Outreach list. The agent handles the lookup of the list IDs and the API calls required to shift the records, ensuring your lists stay segmented by the current stage of your lead qualification process.
Ceven can proactively check your account status using the Get account workspace limits tool. If a workflow is designed to process a large batch of leads, the agent first queries your remaining credits. If the credit balance is lower than the number of leads to be processed, the agent will pause the execution and send you a notification rather than failing halfway through. This prevents partial imports and ensures you have enough credits to complete the job. You can then top up your GetProspect account and tell the agent to resume.
Ceven acts as a conduit between GetProspect and your destination app. While the agent processes the email address to move it from GetProspect to your CRM, Ceven does not maintain a permanent database of your leads. Once the data is successfully pushed to your CRM or exported via the Create Export tool, the transient data is cleared from the workflow context. Your source of truth remains GetProspect and your chosen CRM, ensuring that you maintain control over your lead data and compliance with privacy regulations.
Before creating a new company record, the agent uses the Search Companies tool to query GetProspect by the company name. If a matching record is found, the agent retrieves the existing company ID and associates the new contact with that ID instead of creating a duplicate. This keeps your data clean and prevents the same business from appearing multiple times in your account. If multiple matches are found, the agent can be configured to use the one with the most complete data or flag the record for a human to review.
Yes. GetProspect enforces API rate limits based on your subscription tier. If the agent sends too many requests in a short window, GetProspect will return a 429 Too Many Requests error. Ceven handles this using an exponential backoff strategy, meaning the agent will wait a few seconds before retrying the call. For very large datasets, we recommend using the Create Export tool instead of individual contact calls, as this is more efficient and less likely to trigger rate limits during bulk data migrations.
No. GetProspect is specifically designed to work with LinkedIn data for its discovery process. The agent can only find and verify emails for profiles that GetProspect can access and process through its LinkedIn integration. If you provide a name or a company that does not have a corresponding presence that GetProspect can scrape, the agent will return a not found result. For leads outside of LinkedIn, you would need to use a different tool in your Ceven workflow designed for general web scraping or database lookups.
When you ask the agent to export a group of leads, it calls the Create Export tool with your specified filters. GetProspect then processes this job in the background. Because exports are asynchronous, the agent does not receive the file immediately. Instead, the agent monitors the export status and, once GetProspect signals that the file is ready, the agent can grab the download link and push that file to your Google Drive, Dropbox, or email it to you directly, completing the loop from search to delivery.
