Why use Ceven?

  1. AI native Procfu integration

    • Describe the outcome and Ceven picks the right Procfu calls, fills the parameters, and checks the result.
    • Structured, agent friendly tool schemas so each call runs reliably instead of by guesswork.
    • Rich coverage for reading, writing, and querying your Procfu data, across all 12 of its actions.
  2. Managed auth

    • Built in OAuth with automatic token refresh and rotation.
    • One place to manage, scope, and revoke Procfu access.
    • Per user and per environment credentials instead of shared keys.
  3. Agent optimized design

    • Actions are tuned from real success and error rates so reliability climbs over time.
    • Full execution logs so you always know what ran in Procfu, when, and on whose behalf.
    • The agent pauses and asks when Procfu is unclear instead of plowing ahead.
  4. Enterprise grade security

    • Fine grained access so you control which agents and people can reach Procfu.
    • Least privilege by default, read scopes first and only the writes a workflow needs.
    • A full audit trail of every Procfu action to support review and sign off.

Frequently asked questions

Ceven connects to ProcFu by utilizing the API keys provided in your ProcFu account settings. Once you provide the key, Ceven establishes a secure connection to the ProcFu gateway, which then routes requests to Podio and other connected services like Google and OpenAI. We store these keys in an encrypted vault and never expose them to the model or other users. You can rotate your API key at any time within the ProcFu dashboard, which will require a quick update in the Ceven integration settings to restore service to your active workflows.
Yes, but you must be aware of the ProcFu execution limits. ProcFu has a strict timeout for scripts and functions to prevent server overload. If you try to process an array with tens of thousands of items in a single call, the request may time out before the result is returned to Ceven. For very large datasets, we recommend breaking your data into smaller chunks or using the pagination features in the Google Sheets tools. This ensures that each request stays within the allowed execution window and prevents workflow failures.
Ceven supports all the core ProcFu tools including array manipulation, OpenAI integrations, and Google Workspace connectivity. If ProcFu releases a new mini app or a specific custom function, it becomes available in Ceven as soon as the API endpoint is exposed. If you have a custom script running inside ProcFu that is not listed in the actions menu, you can still trigger it via a webhook if you have the ProcFu Pro plan, allowing Ceven to act as the orchestrator for your custom code.
When you use the OpenAI actions in Ceven, the request is routed through the ProcFu API, which handles the communication with OpenAI. This means you do not need a separate OpenAI API key if you are using the ProcFu bundled credits. The agent sends the prompt, ProcFu fetches the completion or image, and the result is passed back to the Ceven workflow. This simplifies the stack by using ProcFu as a single middleware layer for all your Podio extensions and AI generation needs.
Yes, Ceven can use the ProcFu Google Drive tools to delete files and folders. This is particularly useful for cleaning up temporary exports or old project folders once a Podio task is marked as complete. You will need to ensure that the Google account connected to ProcFu has the appropriate write permissions for the folders you want to manage. The agent uses the file ID to target specific items, so it is recommended to store the file ID in a Podio field first.
If a ProcFu tool returns an error, such as a 404 for a missing Google Drive file or a 429 rate limit error from OpenAI, Ceven captures the error message and attempts to resolve it based on the context. If the error is recoverable, the agent will retry the request. If it is a permanent failure, the agent will log the error in the workflow history and notify you. This prevents the entire automation from crashing and allows you to manually intervene where necessary.
Image generation limits are determined by your ProcFu subscription tier and the underlying OpenAI quota. ProcFu manages the credits for these calls. If you hit your monthly limit, the action will return a quota exceeded error. You can check your remaining credits in the ProcFu dashboard. For high volume image generation, we suggest monitoring your usage weekly to avoid unexpected interruptions in your automated content pipelines.
The array tools in ProcFu are specifically designed for JSON arrays. If your data is in a different format, such as a CSV string or a plain text list, Ceven first uses a transformation step to convert that data into a valid JSON array before passing it to the ProcFu tool. This ensures that the difference and sort functions work correctly. Once the processing is complete, the agent can convert the JSON back into a human readable format for your Podio records or emails.
