Frequently asked questions

No. The Tidy API does not allow for the modification of the core address, unit number, or postal code once a record is created. This is a strict platform limitation to maintain data integrity for professional routing. If you need to change the actual street address, you must use the Delete Address action to remove the old record and then use the Create Address action to start a new one. Ceven can automate this sequence for you, but it will generate a new unique identifier for the property, which means any historical data tied to the old ID will not carry over to the new record.
Ceven uses the List Available Booking Time Slots tool to scan the Tidy network for the next four weeks. When a workflow triggers a search, the agent pulls every open window that matches your criteria and presents them as options. You can set up a workflow that automatically selects the earliest available slot and converts it into a booked job. This removes the need to manually cross reference professional calendars. The agent ensures that the time slot is still open at the moment of booking to avoid double bookings, though the final confirmation depends on the Tidy platform logic.
Yes. By using the Create Pro action, Ceven can take professional data from a Google Sheet, a Typeform, or a CRM and push those details directly into Tidy. You can assign these professionals to a priority list for specific addresses. This means when a new property is added to your portfolio, the agent can automatically link your preferred cleaning pros to that location. This ensures that the people who know the building best are the ones prioritized for new jobs without you having to manually map pros to properties in the Tidy dashboard.
Ceven uses the Update Address tool to keep parking and access instructions current. For example, if you change the lock code on a smart lock, you can trigger a workflow that updates the code in your master list and immediately pushes that update to Tidy. This ensures the cleaning professional always has the most recent entry instructions on their mobile app. Because the agent can read and write these notes, it can also alert you if a property is missing critical access information before a scheduled job begins, preventing costly missed appointments.
Yes. The agent uses the List All Jobs action to monitor the status of every active task. You can build a workflow that polls Tidy for job completions every fifteen minutes. When a job status changes to completed, Ceven can trigger a sequence of events, such as sending a welcome message to the incoming guest or updating the property status in your booking calendar. This creates a closed loop where the physical act of cleaning triggers the digital update of your availability, keeping your operations lean and your guests informed.
The Tidy API will reject the request. You cannot delete any address record that has an active or pending job associated with it. If Ceven attempts to run a Delete Address action on such a property, the system will return an error. To handle this, we recommend a workflow that first lists all jobs for that address. If active jobs are found, the agent can either alert you to cancel those jobs first or wait until the jobs are marked as completed before attempting the deletion. This prevents accidental data loss and scheduling conflicts.
Ceven can pull all active to do lists using the List To Do Lists action. This allows the agent to verify that a specific property has a customized cleaning checklist before a pro is dispatched. If you have different standards for a luxury suite versus a standard room, Ceven can ensure the correct list is attached to the address. You can also create a workflow that reviews the to do lists across your portfolio and flags any properties that are using outdated cleaning protocols, allowing you to update them in bulk via the Tidy interface.
Ceven can handle thousands of addresses, but it respects the rate limits set by the Tidy API. If you are performing a massive bulk import of addresses, the agent will automatically pace the requests to avoid being throttled by the Tidy servers. You will see a progress bar in the workflow console during these large syncs. For most rental managers, this happens in the background without any noticeable delay. If you hit a hard limit, the agent will queue the remaining updates and retry them using an exponential backoff strategy.
