Frequently asked questions

Ceven sets up a dedicated listener endpoint for your Mopinion account. When a user submits a survey, Mopinion sends a POST request to Ceven containing the response payload. Our agent parses this data in real time, checks it against your defined workflow triggers, and then executes the downstream actions. This means you do not have to poll the API every few minutes to see if new feedback has arrived. You can configure which specific surveys trigger these webhooks in your Mopinion dashboard, ensuring that only relevant data enters your automated workflows and reducing unnecessary API noise.
No. The Mopinion API is primarily designed for data retrieval and response management rather than the structural creation of surveys. You must design your surveys, questions, and targeting rules within the Mopinion visual builder. Once the survey is live and collecting data, Ceven takes over by pulling those responses and pushing them into your other tools. This ensures that the user experience and visual design of the survey remain under the control of your UX researchers while the operational heavy lifting of the data is handled by the AI agent.
Yes. Ceven only accesses the data that your Mopinion API key permissions allow. If you have configured Mopinion to anonymize IP addresses or scrub PII from feedback responses, Ceven only receives the anonymized version of that data. We do not attempt to reverse anonymization. All data transmitted from Mopinion to Ceven is encrypted using TLS, and we store only the necessary identifiers required to maintain the link between a feedback response and your internal customer records for the duration of the workflow execution.
Mopinion enforces API rate limits based on your specific subscription tier. If a workflow attempts to pull thousands of responses at once, Mopinion may return a 429 too many requests error. Ceven handles this by implementing an exponential backoff strategy, meaning the agent will wait a few seconds and try again automatically. However, for extremely large data migrations, we recommend using the export report action rather than individual response calls to avoid hitting these limits and causing delays in your real time automation flows.
Yes. This is a primary use case. If you pass a unique customer ID as a custom attribute when the Mopinion survey is triggered, that ID is included in the response payload. Ceven reads this ID, searches your Salesforce instance for the matching contact, and then appends the feedback text and rating as a note or a custom field update on the contact record. This gives your sales and success teams a full view of the customer sentiment without them ever needing to log into the Mopinion dashboard.
Ceven can use the native sentiment scores provided by Mopinion if your plan includes them. If not, Ceven passes the raw text of the feedback through its own LLM layer to determine if the tone is positive, neutral, or negative. You can then set rules such as if sentiment is negative and rating is below 3, then create a high priority ticket. This allows you to build sophisticated routing logic based on the actual emotion of the user rather than just a numerical score.
Absolutely. While Mopinion collects the data, Ceven provides the action. You can build a workflow that triggers whenever a specific survey response is received. For example, if a user reports a bug through a Mopinion form, Ceven can automatically send a confirmation email via SendGrid telling the user that their feedback was received and a ticket has been opened. Once the developer marks the Jira ticket as resolved, Ceven can trigger a follow up email to the user to let them know the issue is fixed.
If a survey is deleted, any API calls made by Ceven to retrieve data for that specific survey ID will return a 404 not found error. Ceven will log this error in the workflow history and send a notification to the workflow owner stating that the source survey is missing. To prevent this, we recommend using the archive action instead of full deletion, as archived surveys can still be queried for historical data while they are hidden from your active production view in the Mopinion UI.
