Frequently asked questions

Ceven connects to L2S using an API token provided in your account settings. You copy the token from your L2S profile and paste it into the Ceven integration vault. We store this token using AES 256 encryption and only inject it into the header of requests sent to the L2S API. The token is never visible to the AI model or stored in plain text in your workflow logs. You can rotate your token in L2S at any time, which will require you to update the connection in Ceven to restore service for your agents.
Yes. One of the strongest features of the L2S integration is the ability to change the destination URL while keeping the short link the same. This is useful for A B testing or fixing a broken page. The agent calls the update endpoint with the link ID and the new destination. The change happens almost instantly across the L2S global network, meaning any user who clicks the link after the update will be sent to the new page without you needing to redistribute the short link.
Ceven can process bulk shortening by iterating through a list of URLs from a source like a Google Sheet. The agent sends each long URL to L2S one by one and writes the resulting short link back to your sheet. However, users should be aware that L2S imposes a strict rate limit on the number of requests per minute for free tier accounts. If the agent hits this limit, it will automatically enter a retry loop with exponential backoff to ensure every link is processed without failing the entire workflow.
Ceven can pull the available analytics provided by the L2S API, such as total click counts, referring domains, and geographic locations. It cannot bypass the privacy protections of L2S to pull personally identifiable information unless that data was passed through the URL as a query parameter. The agent can be configured to watch these metrics and trigger other workflows, such as sending a notification to a sales rep when a high value domain refers a click to a specific short link.
If a link is deleted manually in the L2S dashboard, any active Ceven workflow attempting to read or update that link will receive a 404 error from the API. The agent is programmed to recognize this specific error code and will mark that item as invalid in your report or notify you via your chosen channel. It will not crash the workflow but will instead skip the deleted link and move to the next item in the queue to ensure continuous operation.
Yes. The agent can trigger the L2S QR code generation tool for any short link in your account. Once the QR code is generated, Ceven can take the resulting image URL and upload it to a cloud storage provider, attach it to an email, or post it into a Slack channel. This allows you to automate the creation of marketing assets for every new link you generate, ensuring that your print and digital assets stay in sync without manual design work.
Ceven can manage as many links as your L2S plan allows. The integration uses pagination to handle large lists, meaning the agent can walk through thousands of links without timing out. If you are on a professional plan with higher limits, the agent can perform large scale audits of your entire link library to find old links that no longer serve a purpose. The only limitation is the memory window of the AI, so for very large lists, we recommend using a search query to narrow down the results.
Ceven can read and update user settings such as notification preferences and account appearance. This is useful if you want to sync your L2S notification settings with other tools in your stack. For example, you could create a workflow that toggles certain L2S notifications on or off based on whether you are currently in a high activity campaign period. All setting changes are made via the authenticated API and follow the same permission model as if you were making the change in the dashboard.
